Welcome! It is our pleasure to welcome you to the New 'N Towne Web site. This site will serve as a way for current and future members of New 'N Towne to communicate about both the club and what's happening in Medfield. The New 'N Towne Club of Medfield began as an independent organization in 1969, having formerly been part of Welcome Wagon International. Today, it is a non-profit group whose aim is to provide community activities and social contacts during a time of transition into a new community.
President's MessageHappy Spring, everyone! My family and I have been taking advantage of the warm weather to spend time at the zoo and the playground, and to plant some new flowers. I hope that all of you have been enjoying the outdoors as well. New ‘N Towne will soon be wrapping up its activities for the summer, so please come out and join us while there is still time. April was a busy month. First, I would like to thank Keven Gallagher for all of her hard work in planning our Annual Easter Egg Hunt. In addition, I would like to thank all of you who attended our Annual Meeting at the Zullo Gallery, at which we enjoyed an informative presentation by Robert Maguire, the Superintendent of Schools. We also voted in next year’s Board of Directors. Congratulations to all of next year’s Board Members!!! This month, Girls’ Night Out is celebrating Mother’s Day with a trip to the Daniel Webster Inn and Spa in Sandwich for an overnight on May 19th. One or two spots may still be open, so if you are interested, please contact Terry Corbett at terrycorbett@comcast.net. In addition, I would like to remind all of this and next years’ Board Members that our New Board/Old Board dinner will take place on June 4th at 8:00 p.m. at Bogey’s at the Kingsbury Club. Please save the date. Finally, New ‘N Towne is accepting written applications for donations up through our final Board Meeting on June 14th, so if you know of any individuals or organizations in need, please have them contact me in writing. Other than that, many of our regularly scheduled activities will be taking place this month, so please make sure to read the newsletter carefully for more details. In addition, there are still a couple of spots open the Fundraising Committee for next year’s Board, so if you are interested, please contact myself or Claudia Rosen at claudianrosen@gmail.com. As always, if you have any questions or comments about NNT, please do not hesitate to contact me. Happy Mother’s Day, ladies!!! Erin Fontana

Volunteers NeededBoard Members Needed for next FallIt's hard to believe that we are already looking to fill next year's NNT Board Positions. If you are interested in learning about the New N' Towne Board, please let me know! NNT is run by a wonderful group of volunteers, we meet once a month, and no prior experience is required. Being on the board is a wonderful way to meet some really great people while helping our organization run! We are opening up our January board meeting to ALL members so you can see what is involved in each position, and get a look behind the scenes! I can say that, from my personal experience, being in involved on the board has led to wonderful friendships, many laughs, and a great sense of accomplishment when we distribute the funds we have raised throughout the year. New N' Towne is truly a wonderful organization, and being on the Board is a wonderful opportunity to continue its great tradition in Medfield. Please send me an email at claudiarosen at gmail.com if you are interested in a board position or to be on nominating committee. Please click here to see all the information!>> |
